Honor has announced the Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro flagship smartphones. One of the highlights of the announcement is the 100W ‘SuperCharge’ wireless charging for the Magic 4 Pro, which, the company claims, can charge the 4,600mAh phone battery to 50% in just about 15 minutes. The phone also supports 100W wired charging and as per the claims of the company, it would take about 30 minutes to fully charge the phone.
The Honor Magic4 will start at €899 (8GB+256 GB), while the Honor Magic4 Pro will start at €1099 (8 GB+256GB). The colour options to be confirmed are Black, White, Cyan and Gold, with more colour options to be released. Although the company didn’t confirm the launch date or the markets, it said that the new series will be available starting from Q2, 2022.
The Honor Magic4 Pro features the company’s “Eye of Muse” symmetrical design with a 6.81-inch LTPO Quad-Curved Display with a 1312×2848 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports up to 1.07 billion colours and also has 100% DCI-P3, for sharper, more true-to-life colour reproduction.
The Honor Magic 4 series comes powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G Mobile Platform, with the company claiming that compared to the previous generation, the CPU performance has increased by 20%, GPU performance by 30% and AI capabilities by 300%. Both the phones run Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12.
At the rear, there is a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP Wide lens with f/1.8 aperture, 50MP Ultra Wide lens with f/2.2 aperture abd a 64MP Periscope Telephoto lens(f/3.5, 3.5x Optical Zoom, 100x Digital Zoom, OIS). At the front there is a 12MP lens with a 3D Depth sensor.
The smartphone is also IP683-certified, and as such, is resistant to dust, rain and water, and can withstand being submerged to a depth of 1.5m in water for 30 minutes.
